How does Mxporting Work?[top]
Mxporting is a marketplace offering quality merchandise directly from Mexican manufacturers. All transactions are guranteed by SOT, a trade escrow company.
Who are the sellers?[top]
All sellers are manufacturing companies from Mexico. Every seller on the site must pass a rigorous certification process to participate.
How do I Register? [top]
It takes just a few minutes to Register. Upon your first visit to the site, we will display a registration form pre-populated with certain data based on the information we have on file for your Mxporting ID. To complete the Registration process, you will need to ensure that the required information is complete and accurate and press Submit. This will establish a buyer's account for you in Mxporting.
You also have the option of receiving specials or notice on items via email. Once you have confirmed your choices, you will then have to agree to this site's rules and restrictions by clicking the Accept button on the Terms and Conditions page when you register.
Why did my screen "refresh" after I submitted my Registration Information? [top]
Your cookies have probably been disabled! Check the Internet Options or Preferences from your browser's toolbar. If your cookies are disabled, you will not be able to navigate this site
What are the System Requirements needed to use this site? [top]
We strongly suggest using a version 4.0 browser (preferably the most current version available) from either Microsoft or Netscape (as opposed to a version 3.0 browser). Netscape users should at least be running Communicator 4.5 (Navigator 4.08) or later. For users running IE 4.0, please check the version you are using by going to your browser's HELP menu and choosing "About Internet Explorer." Version 4.72.3110.8 or later should appear. If you do not have at least this version, and you wish to get a free upgrade, go to http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/download/default.asp.
Why can't I have a PO Box as my Mailing Address? [top]
There are listings on this site placed by Merchants who might be able to ship your item immediately after the listing closes. Because all of these Merchants use FedEx as their carrier and they do not deliver to Post Office Boxes, having a Street Delivery Address on record avoids any delays in processing your purchase.
How do I login on subsequent visits? [top]
You only need to log in if you want to buy something or access your account. You can always click on the Log In link at the top of every page,
How do I buy? [top]
After you review the Listing Information for the item that interests you, click Buy Now. Enter the quantity, and then click Continue.
How do I find the product I want to buy? [top]
On the site you will be able find the "search" field so you can enter the keywords, which must be spelled correctly and specify attributes or descriptions of the item you want. You can also select the type of product, through categories provided.
How can I view all the purchases I've completed? [top]
Go to "My Account" and select "Buying Activity." On the Search page, select "ALL" from the Status option and click "Submit." Your buys from the last 60 days will appear.
Can I buy offline? [top]
No. MxPorting only allows on-line purchases.
What is the payment process? [top]
All payments for Mxporting items will be made via PayPal to SOT. SOT (Secure On-line Transactions), is a company in charge of verifying payments assuring that the merchandise offered is delivered to the buyer.
How do I make the payment and receive my products? [top]
You will be able to make on-line transactions from your Pay Pal account to SOTīs account in order to pay for your products and shipping fees. Once you have done this, in the established time FedEX will deliver your products to the agreed location.
Can I pay by other means other than PayPal? [top]
You will also have the option of making the corresponding payments for your products, directly to SOTīs account through your regular bank branch. To do so please contact us at support@mexporting.com
Is it necessary to have a credit card to buy in Mxporting? [top]
It is not necessary to have a credit card to buy in Mxporting.
What happens if a company does not deliver the product? [top]
This is not likely to happen, however if a seller does not deliver the product to FedEx, SOT will return the payment made by the buyer only charging the corresponding bank transaction fees.
How are items shipped? [top]
All purhcased items will be shipped by FedEx, the official carrier for MxPorting.com
Who will make the shipping arrangements? [top]
Sellers are responsible for initiating shipment using FedEx international.
Why the shipping arrangements are made by the Mexican company?[top]
Because FedEx has a special program with preferential rates and discounts varying form 15-30%. This way the buyer will pay a considerable amount less for shipping.
How can I verify the shipment costs? [top]
The buyer will be able to verify the regular cost at www.fedex.com. All buyers will recieve emails from FedEx with tracking numbers for their shipments.
Who pays for shipping? [top]
Buyers pay for shipping directly to SOT's(Secure On-line Transactions) account via Pay Pal.
